1. Mainly used to connect or cut off the medium in the pipeline; Gate valves are suitable for a wide range of pressure, temperature, and diameter, especially for medium and large diameter pipelines.
2. It has a simple structure and is relatively reliable in use. It is suitable for various media and environments at room and medium temperatures.
3. Low fluid resistance. The internal medium channel of the gate valve body is straight through, and the flow direction of the medium does not change when passing through the gate valve, thus the flow resistance is small.
4. Opening and closing are more labor-saving. When opening and closing, the movement direction of the smelling plate is perpendicular to the flow direction of the medium. Compared with globe valves, the opening and closing of gate valves is more labor-saving.
